Hello from Veluwe, a forest in the east of the Netherlands. I’m here for a two-day offsite, spending some time in nature with my colleagues. One of the facilitators shared today’s poem – Fire, by Judy Brown – as we gathered around the campfire, and it made me reflect on how much we can learn from fire about creating energy or igniting change. Often, we are ‘full speed ahead’, without space to breathe, when actually, what fire needs to burn brightly is space between the logs, so it can find its own way. I hope this poem inspires you to see a new path to making change happen, in whatever realm of life that is.
